Commercials like this one below are a big deal.
I'm 44, and can still remember when black people were only in commercials to sell things to black people. Such ads usually had music with heavy bass in it.
Then, not too many years ago black folks started appearing in commercials that were selling things to, well, anybody. A black person would appear as an insurance agent, or an office worker, or a neighbor.
But I never saw a black person appear as a spouse to a white person, until now.
